Catalina Arrubla is the founder and Executive Director of Multi-Arts and a well-established member of the musical and artistic community in the Pioneer Valley. Catalina formerly served as the Director of the Publications Department of the Ministry of Culture in Colombia, her home country. In addition to directing Multi-Arts, Catalina performs in ensembles across New England as a professional oboist, teaches oboe, and directs chamber music ensembles. For the past twenty years, Catalina’s passion for art, dedication to helping children realize their artistic potential, and commitment to helping her community have helped make Multi-Arts a huge success!
Catalina currently performs with The Valley Winds, Panopera, Windham Orchestra, Valley Light Opera, the A Natural Band and the Maestras Woodwind Quintet. She studied oboe with Fred Cohen, Ronald Roseman, John Ferrillo (principal oboist of The Boston Symphony Orchestra) and performed in masterclasses with John Mack of the Cleveland Orchestra
Some of her passions are meditation and being in nature.
