Danielle Russo is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Music Performance with a concentration in Percussion from Umass Amherst. Danielle also received her undergraduate degree in Percussion Performance and Music Education from Umass Amherst in 2013. She taught with Jersey Surf in 2013 and returned in 2019 as a front ensemble instructor. She has performed in many venues in Western and Central Massachusetts with different percussion groups including So Percussion in Brattleboro, VT. She was a member of the Targets, Spartans, Citations, and Cadets Drum and Bugle Corps. Danielle has been involved with the National Championship Shepherd Hill as a front ensemble instructor for 4 years, and became Director two years ago. Under her leadership the group has won first and second prizes.
