Joe Brozek is currently the Instrumental Director at Tantasqua Junior High School where he conducts the 7th and 8th Grade Bands, as well as the Tantasqua Jr. High Jazz Band. He is also an organist at Sts. Peter and Paul Church in Three Rivers, MA.
Joe got his instrumental start at the age of 10, taking trumpet lessons from his father. After graduating from high school, he attended Northwestern University in Evanston, IL, where he received his Bachelor of Music Education, Bachelor of Music Performance, and Master of Music Performance degrees. While at Northwestern, he performed in the Northwestern University Symphonic Wind Ensemble, Symphony Orchestra, Brass Ensemble, and was a member of the Wildcat Marching Band. Joe has studied the trumpet with David Bilger (Philadelphia Orchestra), Thomas Rolfs (Boston Symphony Orchestra), Michael Sachs (Cleveland Orchestra), Micah Wilkinson (Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra), Robert Sullivan (Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra), and Channing Philbrick (Lyric Opera Orchestra of Chicago). He has also studied conducting with Dr. Mallory Thompson, Dr. Shawn Vondran, Dr. Donald Nally, and Dr. Chris Kaatz.
Since 2021, Mr. Brozek has held the position of Principal Trumpet with The Valley Winds, and is a substitute trumpet with the Chautauqua Symphony Orchestra and Chautauqua Opera.
